Students have fun with HypnoBro
Leroy "HypnoBro" Williams returned to campus April 18 and put on a show hypnotizing students on stage and in the audience.
The show was in the K.R. Williams Auditorium.
HypnoBro explained to the audience before hypnotizing anyone that no one can get hurt during hypnosis.
He also said that anybody can be hypnotized, but it takes relaxation, concentration and imagination.
HypnoBro asked for volunteers that wanted to be hypnotized to come on stage.
He emphasized to the students before hypnotizing them that they have to want to be hypnotized for it to work.
He first put the students to sleep by having them focus on him and snapping his finger saying "sleep."
Those who were not hypnotized were asked to leave the stage.
HypnoBro began having fun with the hypnotized volunteers.
Russell Green, a senior sports management major from Fayetteville, said that he didn't believe in hypnosis and thought it was unreal.
"I only see this type of stuff in movies," Green said.
HypnoBro told the audience that if they focused on him while he hypnotized students on stage, they too could be hypnotized.
Devonte Reece, a junior accounting major from Fayetteville, was one of the students who volunteered to be hypnotized.
However, Reece said he doesn't even recall the experience.
"I don't remember doing all the crazy things people said I was doing."
