University Recreation To Hold Personal Training Pilot Study
University Recreation at WSSU has been exceptionally beneficial for Ram students in areas of fitness and personal wellness. Starting in the Spring 2019 semester, a pilot study will be aimed towards personal training for WSSU faculty and staff.
The pilot study will begin February 1st, 2019 and is headed by Ms. Vanessa Hood, who is the Associate Director for University Recreation and a former weightlifting competitor. Ms. Hood has long been an essential part of University Recreation and personal training operations at WSSU.
Hood’s aim for the study is to “measure interest, and examine the benefits of creating an alternative venue of providing in-office personal training services for study participants.” Hood hopes to provide necessary and useful training techniques that faculty and staff can implement into their daily routines.
For more information regarding the study, contact Ms. Vanessa Hood at 336-750-3353 or hoodv@wssu.edu
