ENTERTAINING CRITICISM: 'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta'
The second season premiere of "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" aired April 22 and viewers are in for a lot more uncouth behavior from characters like Stevie J, Joseline, K. Michelle and Mimi.
The episode begins with Mimi and Stevie J. Despite the fact that Mimi decided to cut Stevie out of her life in the last season, things have definitely changed in the season premiere. It turns out Mimi has moved back in with Stevie to stop Joseline from being around their daughter.
It isn't until later in the episode, when Joseline barges into Stevie's house to dish out insults to Mimi including "Molly the Maid," that the women start a war of words, which we've seen plenty of times before.
Why do these women continue to blame each other for the faults of a man that doesn't appear to care about either of their feelings?
Cut to the next scene and things between Erica and Lil' Scrappy seem to be great as they are engaged. Unfortunately for Erica, Mama Dee a.k.a. Scrappy's mother has an issue with Erica and Scrappy's engagement. She believes her son should instead wife up Shay, the "Flavor of Love" reject he cheated on Erica with last season.
Fans also catch up with Benzino, who is fresh off a breakup with Karlie Redd and has somehow wrangled his own radio show. And of course viewers wouldn't have gotten their full dose of "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" without seeing what K. Michelle has been up to. It looks like K has inked a new record deal with Warner Brothers Record Label and will finally be releasing some new music for her fans.
Karlie Redd, Rasheeda and newcomers DJ Traci Steele and DJ Baby Drew [Chris Brown's DJ] were noticeably absent from the season premiere but will make appearances later in the season.
Based on previews, it looks like Karlie is still talking about Joseline behind her back, Rasheeda is dealing with paternity and marital issues and DJs Traci Steele and Baby Drew have a ton of baby mama drama on deck.
