We have to do better
My opinion, our issues
We have to do better.
Hello Winston-Salem State University! You are reading the first column of "We have to do better.
"Throughout my tenure as a senior Argus editor, I will be sharing with you my opinion about things that need to be improved on our campus.
My name is Kanesha Leak.
I am a mass communications major from Durham.
I am an aspiring writer, singer, and event planner.
Writing is my passion.
Singing is my hobby. I'm not very good at singing, but I love to do it anyway.
One of the recent topics I want to address involves the not so "One Stop Shop" placed in Anderson Center in the beginning of the semester.
"One Stop Shop" is where students take care of a number things such as financial aid, parking and housing.
How is the university going to call it a "One Stop Shop" if you have to make 20 stops before you get to where you need to be?
Once you get there you have to wait at least two hours before you speak with someone.
We have to do better.
I don't want you reading all day. I want you to go out and chill on the yard, hang in the cafeteria, or relax and read the other articles we have here in The News Argus.
Don't trip. You know you want to and if you don't (inserts evil stare).
Just kidding; you all know I love all of my fellow Rams.
Pick up your next issue of The News Argus coming out Sept. 25.
Also make sure you check back in with me and find out my opinion about campus issues.
Don't hesitate to send a letter to the editor or suggestions about what I decide to discuss here. I want to know what the students, faculty and staff have to say about campus issues.
Maybe if our voices are heard, some changes may come.
Send your suggestions and comments to thenewsargus@yahoo.com or go online to www.thenewsargus.com and comment under my column.
