Happy New Year to you! Are you still trying to fulfill New Year's promises you made back in "2003"? Chances are, at some time in your life you have made New Year Resolutions and broken them. People are masters of excuses when it comes to giving an explanation for not accomplishing their goals. Our inability to take action because of fear, our inability to get a promotion, our inability to have a clear consuming purpose and specific goals are just a few reasons that causes us not to succeed in life.
Some of you may have the perception that you are not qualified enough to get that promotion, the effort of losing weight is too difficult, or you are not the right fit for a particular opportunity. Perhaps you can relate to having used some of the more common known excuses below:
Nobody is nagging me, so I will do it later. It is too late to start this today. I just did not have enough time. Not today. I have too much on my mind. Why do it now? It is not due yet.If I finish this now, they will just give me something else to do.I meant to do it; I just forgot.Next week - that is when I will start my research paper.Cannot do it - cannot make it - wish I could.Out of the question - cannot change - it is out of my hands.I will start at the beginning of the week/month/year.
Choose today to create the best year in 2005 by leveraging some of the tips below:
* Do the things daily that unsuccessful people occasionally do. Develop highly efficient organizational skills. Become better organized by simplifying and eliminating clutter clinging to your desk.* Create a sense of urgency to live a healthier life style. Tackle the fitness programs - find a weight-lost program that works for you. Eat healthier foods and cut out high-carbs, high-fat foods to look better and feel better. Visit www.foodportions.com to test your knowledge about food portions and serving sizes.* Seize the moment of opportunity and overcome the fear of failure. Step out in faith and proceed without any doubts about your promising future. * Discard doubt and limiting beliefs. Avoid negative thinking that deteriorates your diamond quality character. * Get rid of "time wasters" and stagnating habits that hold you hostage. Eliminate your biggest time wasters with telephone calls and meetings that never end. Leverage your time and increase productivity by using a personal digital assistant (PDA) or a unified system that links all communication devices into one system and one number to streamline personal and business communications. Visit www.onenumbersolution.com to get the power of a unified messaging solution that ends the communications chaos from juggling multiple devices, PINs and passwords. * Learn to let go of stress. Do not let stress rule your life - learn to let go and make time in your busy schedule to reflect and recognize your blessings. * Learn to laugh - it is the best medicine for stress. Bookmark www.jokes.com or read the cartoon section of your newspaper daily and get your laugh on often. * Empower your vision and live your dreams. Surround yourself with positive centered people and actions to build leverage into money-making activities for wealth creation.
One of my favorite quotes is "Nothing Is Impossible when I am inspired withenthusiasm to sustain my passions and empower my actions. Nothing Is Impossible when I unleash my creativity and abilities to boost my personal growth, career and income. Nothing Is Impossible when I have a consuming purpose that drives my ambitions to greatness". Live your life with persistent determination to achieve great accomplishments.
YOU CAN DO IT - there is no time for excuses in 2005! It is time to change your Time Wasting Behavior. It is time to plan your productivity. Take time - or make time - for things high on your priority and value list. It is time to Practice the Power of Today Not Tomorrow (TNT) to cure the deadly habit of procrastination - the behavior of postponing or ducking the difficult problems.
Remember ... Only those who risk going too far will ever know how far they can go. It does not matter if you are from an affluent family, an economically depressed family or somewhere in between; you are accountable for your own success or failure.
