False Police Report

At 10:25 a.m., campus police received a call from a student's mother. The mother told police that her daughter texted her and said her classroom was on lockdown because there was a shooter on campus. After officers
were dispatched they received instructions to halt the search; it was an April Fool's joke. The case was sent to Judicial Affairs.

Communicating Threats

At 10:23 a.m. a female staff member in Hall Patterson called campus police and said that she was followed into a classroom and threatened. Before the officer arrived, he  was met by another female staff member who notified the officer that she was the one who communicated the threat. She informed him that she and her co-worker had
not been getting along for a while. The dispute began after the two began arguing over an issue dealing with a time card, which they ripped in half. The staff member who communicated the threat was restrained by a professor and told police that's when she threatened to beat her up. The case is closed.
