PUT WINSTON-SALEM ON THE CUTTING EDGE WITH: THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES
Winston-Salem, NC August 12, 2005
BOTS & Savant Entertainment presents the "Battle of the Sexes": Men vs. Women in Singing, Rapping, and PoetryTM. Talent Competition & Showcase to be held Thursday, September 1st at 10 PM; doors open at 9:30. You must be 21 or older and admission is $5/person.
The Golden Stag Lounge 1415 N. Liberty St. Winston-Salem, NC is our next step in introducing a cutting-edge talent competition that will promote unity and respect for artistic expression within each gender. Battle of the Sexes: Men vs. Women in Singing, Rapping, and PoetryTM asks Winston-Salem, "are you ready to battle?" This networking conglomeration is designed to benefit its venues, artists, and as well as it's sponsors empowering them to flourish and gain equal respect in the entertainment industry. This event has been previously held on Yahoo! For three years featuring participants from around the world. In addition to being held on Yahoo! we have also been showcased for over two years on a bi-weekly basis at Hockeytown Café in Detroit and recently selected by Globe Trekker TV to do a live taping, which will air on PBS.
The Battle, Winston-Salem edition directed by 27 year old Latonia D. Matthews is a fundraiser for Humanitarian Organizations, which provide communities and villages with medical assistance, literacy centers, feeding programs, crisis relief, & economic empowerment. Battle of the Sexes & Savant Entertainment will raise funds for those who aid and organize infrastructures for communities locally and abroad. 2.8 billion people -almost half the world's population lives without basic healthcare because many developing countries have no access to public heath clinics. Nearly 130 million children worldwide have never entered a classroom and 2.7 billion people in the world struggle to live on less than $2.00 per day. Almost 30,000 children die daily in developing countries from malnutrition or disease caused by lack of clean water. There are organizations willing to aid and bring assitance to the world, but who will aid and assist them?
