I was born in Chile from German speaking parents and grew up fully bilingual in Spanish and German. Before moving to North Carolina I lived in Chile, Peru, Mexico and the US Virgin Islands. I started my teaching career in 1979, taught Spanish and German at Appalachian State University from 1993 until 2002. Then moved to Charlotte teaching Spanish at Gaston College and Queens University. I have taught face to face and online.
