
The Hampton University Pirates swept the Winston-Salem State Rams by tennis team by the score of 7-0 on Thursday afternoon at the WSSU Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, N.C. as the Rams fell to 1-18 on the season.
Hampton swept all three doubles matches en route to the doubles point and closed out their victory when they held Winston-Salem State to only four game victories in the six singles matches as WSSU fell in straight set sweeps in all six flights.
The loss drops WSSU to 1-18 on the season overall while Hampton improves to 8-10 with the victory.
