All that you know is wrong

Today’s world is polluted with misinformation. Every media device known to man uses their will to misinform the general public through lies. Every bit of history is told from only one person or common group’s perspective. Hidden motives are in every piece of news media, commercial, music video, dogma, and even the school curriculum you paid a lot of money to attend. Lies are powerful because they give people control over others. Questions, remove the veils from our eyes so that we can see the real us. Who, or what, is responsible for the murder of our dreams and ambitions? Why, only the people who allow them to die, maybe even you, the person reading (or scanning in disgust) this editorial. So where did everything go wrong? I think that it was when we stopped questioning things. Find any person and question something that they know and watch the magic happen. They either get angry, give you the “That’s just whut uh baleeeve” crap, spark a debate, or just say “I don’t know”. What is problem with saying, “I’m not sure”? Is there no harm in making an educated guess? The question is probably the most dangerous thing to mankind because it destroys security in a belief. Two things can happen. It leaves open the possibility to doubt which leaves the possibility of another possibility. Another possibility is that it will cause one to look at things more objectively and maybe even researching history a little deeper. Basically, intelligence is falling into oblivion because people fail to find another perspective and use their reason. One day, when you have some free time on your hands, try it out for a change. Take the most important thing to you and one thing that you utterly despise and question it. Ask some effective questions. Why is it so? Why does it exist? Who started it? If you can’t find the answer to it, study it. Read books; they’ll open your eyes to information you can’t get from a television. One of the best things to do is look at a perspective that opposes your own. Talk to someone and debate about the question; it will show you how much your idea stands on its own. If there’s something wrong, then the first step is to ask a question, right? True, what is good for someone is awful to another because every preference is subjective. The only problem is that people choose things that lead to their own imprisonment. The mental prison is probably the hardest to break free from because the inmates are just so… happy.I think that if people questioned things more often, they could remove false information or make sense of reality. It breaks my heart to see this world fall apart over and over again to deception. Man should constantly be reconstructing themselves. You should tear yourself down to the very root and rebuild yourself into something. People should break free from the chains that bind them to their oppressors. Ironically enough, the only thing that can oppress a person is their own self. Think about it the next time you do anything. Ask yourself why you do it. Oppose it with questions and then see what is still left standing. Only what is infallible through reason will remain. If people questioned, deception could be spotted a little more effectively instead of what takes place now: a world-wide coprophagia contest.
