As we (The News Argus staff) look forward to the 2010 spring semester, we also reflect on the old and rediscovered photos of some of the most memorable WSSU events during fall 2009.
A VERY short list of the semester’s highlights not pictured on these pages include:
“Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”–
an international event that takes a stand against physical and sexual violence against women.
Former Ram turned NFL player
William Hayes paid for players’
last names to be placed on football team jerseys.
WSSU’s own Derwin Montgomery became the first traditional student in the University’s history to be elected as a Winston-Salem City Council member.
WSSU celebrated 117 years.
