At the start of the Ram football 2011 season, head coach, Connell Maynor, declared that the team would have a 15-0 season. 

So far his prediction is flawless.

After four games, the Winston-Salem State football team is undefeated. 

The Rams started the season by competing against the Elizabeth City State Vikings. 

The team got their first touchdown of the season with a 30-yard pass from Kameron Smith to Tehvyn Brantley. 

Although the team had 118 penalty yards, the team managed to overthrow the Vikings with a score of 22-17.

 

 

 

The Rams travelled to Richmond to play the Virginia Union Panthers Sept. 10. 

The Rams controlled the scoreboard early when Michael Byrd scored the first touchdown with 12:33 left in the first quarter. 

The team had touchdowns from key players Dominique Fitzgerald, Nicholas Cooper, and Patrick Terry. 

The Rams caged the Panthers, 67-16.

 

 

 

Sept. 17, the Rams dominated the Chowan Hawks, 55-24. 

Cedric Hickman started with a touchdown within the first four minutes. 

Throughout the rest of the game, the Rams scored seven more touchdowns with 447 passing yards.

 

 

 

Sept. 27, the first home game, running back Nicholas Cooper stampeded to a career day with 257 yards on 16 carries and four touchdowns against the Fayetteville State Broncos.

The Rams put up 21 points as the Broncos responded with a field goal at the end of the first quarter.

 The Rams whipped the Broncos, 56-20.
