I look at the glass called “Life” as half full.
Not because life is not fulfilling and something is missing, but because I am constantly striving to add to my glass. I will never fill my glass because that is when the learning and living stops. My glass has no top.
That’s how we look at things at The News Argus. We are constantly looking to grow, create positive change and make our newspaper the best it can be.
We have created new sections, revamped the look, increased the online interaction of our readers, and increased our readership.
In fact, The News Argus is now an award-winning newspaper in which we are quite proud.
This was a first for The Argus, but we will not rest until we accomplish more.
These small things have made big changes, and we are going to continue on that path. We have worked hard and will continue to do so, to provide this campus and the community with the best. And we are not finished filling our glass.
But of course it’s that time of year again, when we must say our goodbyes. But why dwell on the inevitable?
I won’t say goodbye. “See you later is more appropriate.”
To The News Argus staff, thank you for your dedication, your hard work even when it sometimes went unrecognized.
Thank you for the commitment to giving the University something new and different and thank you for dealing with me. I could not have asked for a better staff than you guys.
To our adviser, that’s adviser with an ‘e,’ I thank you for your guidance and your steadfastness in the pursuit of good news and your commitment to taking our student newspaper to the next level.
My closing thought to everyone:?”There is a lot to do before you rest.” Our glasses are infinite; therefore, we should continue filling them with all the knowledge we seek to discover.
See you later!
